Yes, you can. You can also add a postage stamp at the back if you’re mailing your postcards to your clients or target market.

Your postcard must be rectangular, at least 3.5” x 5” but no more than 6” x 9” to qualify for the First-Class Mail postcard price. The postal service considers it a letter and will charge for the corresponding postage if it goes beyond those dimensions. Meanwhile, the USPS postcard size should be no bigger than 6.125” x 11.5” and 0.25" thick.
We offer additional convenience by mailing your company postcards straight from our printers to your recipients’ homes. Get the word out on your product and take advantage of our direct mail services.
Traditional direct mail specifically targets recipients of a certain demographic and mailing list. EDDM is the least expensive option that targets all the houses in specific neighborhoods. Read up on the benefits of these marketing strategies.
Ensure accurate colors in your postcard prints by setting up your design file in CMYK. Most design tools use the RGB (red, green, blue) color model by default to optimize digital designs and screens. Shifting it to CMYK (cyan, magenta, yellow, and black) mode will make the colors more accurate for print products. If your design is created in RGB mode, convert the file to CMYK before sending it to your printer.
Postcards, especially those printed on thicker cardstock, are designed to be mailed without envelopes. 14 pt. or 16 pt. cardstock options are durable enough to be filed and sent to mailboxes without bending or folding easily. Choosing a gloss finish will also help protect postcards from minor scratches.
We accept a minimum of 5 pt. font size, not counting other factors like style and color. Use sans serif fonts to make your text more accurate and readable. If you’ve requested a free proof, our prepress team can review and add notes about your font sizes and texts if they are suitable for printing.
Upload separate files for each design, either as distinct PDFs or design files via our online design tool. You can also set different sizes, quantities, and finishes for each design, and the designs will remain separate while still falling under a single order. Simply provide different filenames for each design, and the postcards will be kept in separate batches to avoid confusion.
The best way to ensure your postcard sides are perfectly aligned is to download and use our layout templates from our website. They come with proper margins that mark the bleed and trim lines and include indicators for front and back designs.
Please note that you’ll need to mark your designs so our design team can fix any layout or sizing errors during proofing. Ensure the margins and orientation are correct before final approval to avoid alignment issues.
We do not automatically add the address and stamp areas to the postcard. These appear only if you select a mailing-ready template or choose our direct mailing service. If you design the postcard, leave a 2" x 4" white space on the back for the address. Prepare your file in landscape to match the mailing template. Place the indicia on the open side, unless you’ve coordinated other instructions with our Mailing team.
Consider the purpose and mailing requirements for your postcards. If you plan to use direct mail, the standard sizes like 4" x 6" or 5" x 7" are cost-effective options that share your message quickly. For EDDM, use 6.125" x 11.5", as these are the best sizes for oversized retail EDDM.
After selecting your size, consider the available postcard finishes. These come in gloss, matte, or UV finishes, enhancing your postcard designs and providing additional protection. You may choose a finish based on your design needs, cardstock, and the required level of durability.
