Show Your Brand’s Personality with Custom Packaging Labels

If you are not aware of the value of the packaging you use for your products, you are missing out on a lot of opportunities. The box, pouch, bottle, or whatnot that you use to store your goods is actually a valuable piece of real estate for branding.

Packaging labels can help you boost your brand by adding your logo or company slogan to the product’s packaging. You can be as creative as you want with custom packaging labels. Use them to tell your company’s story, promote your advocacy, or to tell a joke--basically everything to increase brand loyalty.?

Additionally, packaging labels can also be used to provide crucial information about your product or company. You can put a packaging sticker on a box that contains your company’s contact information or add the ingredients of your homemade cookies on the container. Use it to teach your consumers how to recycle your product’s packaging to show that you care about the environment.

How to Choose the Best Packaging Label for Your Product

Now that you have learned the many uses of packaging labels and how they can help your brand, it’s time to know how to pick the best one for your product. The following factors should be considered when choosing your packaging label.

Label Format: Cut-to-Size Labels versus Roll Labels

Cut-to-size labels

Also known as individually cut labels, these labels can be cut based on the shape that you want. They can be anything from regular shapes (circles, squares, etc.) to unusual ones (stars, hearts, ribbons) or custom designs. To achieve precision and ensure that we follow your design’s exact measurement, we use die-cutting technology in producing our labels. Cut-to-size labels are ideal for low-quantity orders and applications that are done by hand.

Materials used for cut-to-size labels:

  • 70 lb. label material is available in three different coatings: gloss, high gloss UV, and non-reflective matte finish. Labels made from this material are specifically designed for indoor use.?
  • White vinyl material comes with a shiny finish. It is resistant to various outside elements like the sun’s UV rays and rainwater. Labels made from this material are suitable for outdoor use.

Roll labels

Roll labels are recommended for large orders that require at least 250 pieces. They can be applied using an automated label dispenser or by hand, which is a breeze since they are easy to peel. You can opt for custom shapes with our roll labels or choose from any of our available shapes (circle, square, rectangle, and oval).

Materials used for roll labels:

White premium sticker paper has a semi-gloss finish that can be layered with more gloss or a matte coating. Roll labels made from this material are designed for indoor use.

Biaxially-oriented polypropylene or BOPP material can either be white, clear, or silver metallic BOPP. Make sure to choose the one that best suits your design. All of them are water and oil-resistant, making them perfect for product packaging roll labels.

Estate adhesive paper material is great for product labels used on wines, beers, and jars. It can be uncoated, which allows you to write on the label, or layered with matte UV to make the packaging labels capable of repelling moisture. This material is available in three different options: White Vellum Textured Estate #8, White Laid Textured Estate #4, and Cream Laid Textured Estate #9.

Application

Both cut-to-size and roll labels are suitable for various types of applications. You can use them as beer labels since they can withstand moisture and condensation, food labels due to their chemical and oil-resistant properties, and hand sanitizer labels, which can be used both indoor and outdoor. Other applications include custom labels, jar labels, product labels, return address labels, water bottle labels, wine labels, and metallic print labels.

Label Size and Shape

Our product and custom labels are available in various sizes. Cut-to-size labels range from 1.5” x 2.5” to 8.5” x 11”. Roll labels, on the other hand, have measurements ranging from 0.5” x 1” to 6” x 6.5”.

Here are our most popular sizes, their shapes, and their specific applications:

  • 3.5” x 4” rectangle is used for 750 ml. wine bottle labels.
  • 3” x 3” circle is popular for product labels that can be used in boxes, cups, cans, and other similar types of packaging.?
  • 2.5” x 3” rectangle can be used for jar and hand sanitizer labels.
