Ever been somewhere that was so unbelievably cool that it was smokin’ hot? Welcome to the NDF Event of the Month where once a month, we’ll take a look at an upcoming event that promises to be so cool, it’s hot!
We’ll get started by introducing a man about LA who fits the bill. Ray Jelley is the president of Ay Que Chevere Productions. If you’re not bilingual, even his company name translates to something OH SO COOL. I mean how many guys do you know who have an “in” at all of LA’s top clubs & restaurants, hob nob with the stars, chat with top comedians and travel the world – all in a single day? Ray Jelley is that guy. Ay Que Chevere Productions specializes in events that inspire imagination, promote health, and unite all cultures through food, wine, music and dance…what could be better than that?
Imagine traveling the world, entertaining yourself and kids, learning about healthy foods, viewing the hottest new technologies, all the while giving back to the community? Crazy talk? Not at all.
Ray brings all of his connections and talents to LA’s first Taste of the World Food & Wine Festival where he’ll transform the Los Angeles Center Studios into Africa, Asia, Europe, Oceana, and the Americas for three days, November 5th-7th, 2010.
From Foodie, to Health Nut, to Soccer Mom to Techie this event literally has something for everyone. You can taste the best food and wine from many cultures while musical headliners perform, celebrity judges award LA’s Next Celebrity Chef, Stand-Up Comic and Super Star all while jugglers, stilt-walkers, and cirque style performers are passing by.
If you have kids, bring them! The Children’s World Pavilion offers cultural entertainment for kids of all ages, crafts, clowns, face painting and more.
Foodies and Techies, come one, come all! Think about attending one of the cooking demonstrations or technology exhibits.
For the Lean and Green: Check out the Healthy World Pavilion and catch a presentation by celebrity trainer and certified fitness and nutritional consultant, Andrea Orbeck.
The Green World Pavilion will offer Dr. Tony Pereira, UCLA ME PhD who will be giving lectures and information on the “human footprint” and sustainability.
Finally, Ay Que Chevere Productions takes a strong stance against domestic abuse. A portion of every ticket sold will be donated to local nonprofit organizations who fight against domestic violence in our communities.
Because the Taste of the World Food & Wine Festival truly has something for everyone, we find that oh so cool, and that is exactly why it’s HOT! Please go to www.tasteoftheworldfestival.com or call 800-411-6057 to buy tickets.
