We recently spoke to Phillip Ethington, co-founder, and asked him about how NextDayFlyers helps his business by being the print partner his company can trust.

Founded in 2010, Sweetheart Shout Out was started by husband-and-wife team Phillip and Tara Ethington. By providing brides-and-grooms-to-be with unique wedding invitations that reflect their personalities, they play a rewarding role in a couple’s special day.
From Design Disaster to Sweet Success
When Tara, a graphic designer, left for a study abroad program in Africa in the middle of planning her wedding, Phillip was left with the task of creating their invitations. The result? “The absolute worst wedding invitations on the planet,” Phillip says.
“We realized there was a need for creative and budget-friendly invites, tailored to people’s personalities. Inspired, the couple decided to launch a wedding invitation design business.
Now, thanks to word-of-mouth from satisfied customers and exposure on wedding websites and blogs, Sweetheart Shout Out enjoys a worldwide clientele, making it vital to work with a printer that can consistently provide high quality prints that always arrive on time.
Moreover, Philip says, as they began to build a company and brand around something that’s supposed to be perfect for someone’s most important day, they realized you can’t send someone shoddy work; “it’s gotta be right.”

Because many of Sweetheart Shout Out’s customers are design-savvy or graphic designers themselves, they are looking for something that’s completely outside of the norm and are sticklers for detail. In turn, Phillip and Tara needed a one-stop shop that could provide a variety of affordable products that lived up to their high standards. Likewise, Phillip says Tara “is a perfectionist; she wants to make sure that (all prints) are perfect for the customer.” This meant it was crucial every printed piece was checked for quality before it was shipped.
Meeting Customer Needs with Creative Products and Superior Quality
Before the company began working with us, they had tried several other printing companies, but were underwhelmed with the results. Now, with the help of NextDayFlyers’ quality products, service, and superb attention to detail, Sweetheart Shout Out is able to keep their customers happy.

In addition to printing their designs on 4×6 and 5×7 flat invitations and providing custom matching wedding invitation envelopes, Sweetheart Shout Out offers unique invites printed on 4” x 9” rack cards. They’ve also used business cards to create budget- and eco-friendly RSVP cards, a product their customers say they can’t find elsewhere. When one customer needed custom valet cards, they used NextDayFlyers’ perforated tickets to print a truly personalized item.
When Sweetheart Shout Out first began placing orders with us, they uploaded their design files directly to our website and crossed their fingers with the hopes things went smoothly. About a year ago, however, the team began working directly with Account Manager Marguerite and couldn’t be happier.
“She will bend over backward to make sure that it’s right – she’ll look at the printed pieces before they get shipped out to make sure they’re perfect. We can’t speak highly enough,” says Phillip.
