Customer Spotlight: The San Diego YMCA

Periodically, the NDF Blog offers a look at some of our interesting customers. And while most are companies in the businesses of earning a profit, there are a healthy number of not-for-profit organizations who enjoy our products and services. Here is one of the oldest and largest in the United States: The YMCA – San Diego Region.

In a recent interview with NDF, Kristie Spaulding, Department Supervisor, Marketing and Community Relations of the San Diego County YMCA, shared some of the ways in which the Y has used materials printed by Next Day Flyers.

The San Diego County YMCA encompasses 14 branches operating at 41 unique locations. It is the 2nd largest Y association in the US and serves more than 320,000 constituents — from youngsters to seniors, and every age in between.

Kristie is responsible for the ongoing rebranding efforts of the Y and providing supporting with PR and marketing. She offered these three examples of the marketing and promotional materials the Y orders from Next Day Flyers.

1. Camper Thank-You booklets. The quality was appreciated by the organization and its donors and prices were well within budget. These booklets included many heartfelt thank-you letters from campers and their families. It gave the Y an opportunity to thank donors on behalf of the people who benefited from their generosity.

1. The Y uses NDF for lots of postcards and has seen a very good response rate.  Recently, the Y announced the Teen Leadership Conference via postcards.  (This is a great example of the Y’s commitment to youth development.)

1. Annual Support Campaign Top Leadership Workshop invitations. The Y took advantage of the free shipping offer to save money when ordering these folded cards. This workshop is the kickoff to the largest fund drive of the year benefiting all programs and services across the entire YMCA of Diego County.
