There are tons of great resources out there to assist you in your marketing endeavors no matter what type of business you have, or products and services you offer. These are a few current favorites – all free – all good.

1. How to Create Compelling Content that Ranks Well in Search Engines
This is written by Brian Clark of Copyblogger. If you don’t spend a lot of time reading blogs about writing let me say, this site is a great resource. This is a great SEO primer and you’ll come away with a solid base of keywords, link building, and other basic strategies to get you going.

2. Apture
If you have a blog, personal or company, Apture is a great tool to know about. As per the Apture information; “give your readers the power to search the web for rich content from Google, Wikipedia, Amazon, Flickr, YouTube and others all through your site.” This tool is easy to use and makes your posts/site more media interactive. 3. Marketing Profs / Marketing Profs Get to the Point Newsletter
Marketingprofs is a phenomenal resource for marketing information. Sign up for their free membership and then check out their Get to the Point Newsletters – you can select the topics of interest such as Marketing in a Downturn, B2B, Email Marketing, and Analytics, to name a few.

4. Chipin Donation Widget
Cause marketing can be one way to make a difference and stand out. If you have a cause that you’d love to have your customer donate to, Chipin is a flash application that makes it simple.

5. Google Optimizer
Google Website Optimizer is a “free website testing and optimization tool.” Testing is really important for improving your conversion rate. Google’s Website Optimizer lets you test copy and design so you can find out what your customers are responding to – and it’s relatively easy.
